01

Regeneration

Measured in Net change in the stock of soil, water, capital reserves, employee health, customer trust, supplier viability.
02

Resilience

Measured in Throughput retained under named scenarios, days of liquidity, qualified second-source suppliers, time to recommission a downstream line.
03

Systemic Strategy

Measured in Variable moved per dollar spent, outcome per intervention, leverage achieved, sequence held under pressure.
§ Definitions

Regeneration

A factory whose effluent stream becomes input feedstock for a neighboring process. A supply chain that ends each year with more fertile soil under it than the year began with. Regeneration is a stock change, ledgered over time, audited against the resource base the company depends on.

Counter-example
Efficiency gains that hold the rate of extraction constant.
Test
Compare the resource base today to the resource base ten years ago. Read the ledger.

Resilience

The structural capacity to keep delivering value through a port closure, a credit crunch, a regulatory shift. Organizations build it before any shock arrives: redundancy, contractual flexibility, scenario reserves, and decision triggers configured before the moment of need.

Counter-example
A balance sheet optimized for a single weather pattern.
Test
Name the three scenarios most likely to halt operations in 2030 and state the prepared response for each.

Systemic Strategy

The company, its value chain, its market, and the systems it depends on, treated as one connected object. The work is to find the smallest interventions that move the largest variables, sequence them across years, and tie each move to a measurable outcome, verifiable after the fact.

Counter-example
A roadmap of independent initiatives that share a deck.
Test
For any planned intervention, ask which downstream variables it shifts and by how much.
§ Evidence ledger / selected engagements Read across the row
Heineken circular roadmap

A roadmap aligned across stakeholders inside and outside the company, sequenced into phased capital decisions with named outcomes for each phase.

Outcome 17 stakeholders aligned across 3 production sites, with a 100% circular target sequenced into a phased capital plan.
IKEA supply-chain energy

A learning supply chain, structured to retire annual energy demand through repeatable design changes that propagate from one supplier to the next.

Outcome 484 GWh retired from annual demand, equivalent to the electricity used by 145,000 Swedish homes.
Schiphol airport as system

An airport strategy organized as one operating system across ground transit, energy, water, aviation logistics, and tenant economics, with the cross-layer dependencies made visible.

Outcome 5 operational layers held in one strategy, with cross-layer dependencies mapped and sequenced.

Strategy under sustained stress is the only kind worth measuring. Yvoke sets these three parameters before any engagement begins, and reads them back once the work is underway, against the same numbers the board uses to decide what to do next.
